As believers in Christ, we UNITE under GOD’S AUTHORITY to encourage one another in love and fellowship, to worship and pray together in faith, to disciple and be discipled through the WORD and Spirit, and to serve as Christ’s loving hands and feet to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in our community as we share the GOOD NEWS OF SALVATION – ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD!
- UNITED – We are a diverse, multicultural group, united by our faith in Christ and His love. Together we share in His love which flows to us, then overflows to our community. Under Christ’s guidance and through the study of His Word, we build close, loving relationships with one another so that we can help, encourage, and pray for each other. This fulfills the prayer of Jesus in John 17:23a: “I in them and You in Me – so that they may be brought to complete unity.”
- GOD’S AUTHORITY – We believe in the Holy Trinity – God the Father and Creator of all, His Son, Jesus Christ, who secured our salvation by the shedding of His blood, and the Holy Spirit, our Comforter and Guide. We submit to God’s authority with Jesus as the Head of the Church, and prayerfully seek His will. Ephesians 1:22-23 says, “And God placed all things under [Jesus’s] feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way.”
- WORD – The Word is God’s Holy Bible, given by Him through His Spirit as a revelation of Himself, and includes His plan for eternal life through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is truth for all people as it is complete, trustworthy, inerrant, contains no contradictions, and instructs us as we seek to know and serve God and others. 2 Timothy 3:15-17 says God’s Word is “…able to make you wise in salvation through faith in Christ Jesus… and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good ”
- MAKE A DIFFERENCE – We seek to make a difference in our community and in God’s Kingdom by praying and serving together – building relationships as God opens the door to meet needs through meaningful ministry. Matthew 5:16 says, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
- THE GOOD NEWS OF SALVATION – From Jeremiah 29:11, we know God created each of us with a perfect plan for our lives. The most important part of that plan is to believe in Jesus, His Son, for salvation. 2 Peter 3:9b says, “…He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” We are called to carry out Jesus’s command to spread the Gospel near and far, baptizing those who believe, and discipling them toward Christlike spiritual maturity.
- ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD – Our end purpose is not to bring any glory to ourselves, but instead to bring glory to Almighty God, for only He is worthy. 1 Peter 4:11 says, “If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen!”
